Bello는 JDW와 Olive Healthcare와의 협업을 통해 탄생한 개인용 복부지방 측정기로, 근적외선 기술을 활용해 복부 지방을 5초 이내에 측정할 수 있도록 설계되었습니다. 기술 중심의 기기들과 달리 Bello는 사용자가 자연스럽게 손에 쥐고 편안하게 사용할 수 있는 경험을 우선으로 하여 디자인되었습니다. 전체적으로 부드럽게 라운드된 조형과 안정감 있는 볼륨은 그립감을 강화하고, 인체에 직접 닿는 제품의 특성을 고려해 친근하고 부담 없는 첫인상을 제공합니다. 불필요한 요소를 제거한 정제된 표면과 심플한 디자인 언어는 기술의 복잡함을 감추고, 제품을 하나의 생활 오브제로 느끼게 합니다. 화이트 톤의 바디에 적용된 히든 라이팅 인터페이스는 사용자의 시선을 방해하지 않으면서도 측정 과정에 필요한 정보를 안내합니다. 이 인터페이스는 사용자의 조작 위치와 시야를 고려해 배치되었으며, 측정 과정 전후의 피드백을 직관적으로 전달합니다. Bello는 기술, 조형, 인터페이스가 균형 있게 통합된 제품으로서, 체지방 측정을 일상의 자연스러운 루틴으로 바꿔주는 새로운 사용자 경험을 제안합니다.

We collaborated with Olive Healthcare to design Bello, a personal abdominal fat scanner that measures visceral fat in under five seconds using near-infrared technology. Unlike technology-focused devices, Bello prioritizes a comfortable and intuitive user experience. Its softly rounded form and balanced volume enhance grip, while its approachable geometry expresses the product’s user-friendly nature—particularly important for a device that comes into direct contact with the body. By removing unnecessary elements, Bello presents a clean surface and a minimal design language that conceals technical complexity, allowing the product to exist as a refined lifestyle object rather than a medical device. The white-toned body incorporates a hidden lighting interface that provides subtle visual feedback without interrupting the product’s quiet presence. Positioned within the user’s natural line of sight and interaction area, the interface intuitively guides the measurement process from start to finish. Bello represents the balanced integration of technology, form, and interface, redefining abdominal fat measurement as a seamless, refined moment within daily life.
